“Zero Injuries, Zero Incidents, and Zero Tolerance”
We are committed to a zero-tolerance approach in the prevention of work-related accidents, incidents, and injuries. This philosophy is central to our operations and applies to all employees. Our leadership in safety is the result of comprehensive training, continuous operational attention, and accountability measures. Every member of our team is expected to adopt and demonstrate a mindset focused on safety. On project sites, operational safety is maintained through structured safety huddles held three times each day. These sessions are designed to formally identify potential hazards and gather direct input from our trades professionals. This process reinforces our commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for everyone, supporting physical, psychological, and social well-being through disciplined risk management strategies that extend to employees, stakeholders, and the wider community. Our Safety, Health, and Environment program is driven by several core initiatives:
• Setting and striving for the goal of zero work-related injuries among employees and stakeholders, with a focus on preventing incidents and protecting the environment throughout all work phases.
• Implementing and maintaining a robust safety management system based on Life-Preserving Principles, which empowers personnel and enables ongoing evaluation and improvement.
• Actively managing critical safety risks during the entire project lifecycle by systematically identifying hazards and applying appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensuring complete compliance with client requirements and integrating all relevant safety-related statutory and regulatory obligations at local, state, provincial, and national levels.
• Fostering a strong safety culture that values open communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and regular consultation, supporting shared accountability for both individual and collective well-being.
• Promoting resource conservation and environmental sustainability targets in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Establishing challenging safety performance metrics and engaging employees and business partners to meet these benchmarks, encouraging a culture of ongoing improvement.
Contractor and Supplier Standards
To ensure our contractors and suppliers recognize and uphold these standards, we have developed a Supplier Code of Conduct, supported by regular supplier assessments. The code reflects our values and expectations, including:
Acting ethically and with integrity.
Maintaining data privacy and security.
Embracing inclusion and diversity.
Ensuring fair employment and wages.
Reducing environmental impact.
Providing working conditions that support safety, well-being, and health.
Our program focuses on integrating individuals most familiar with the risks and the work into operational safety planning. This increased involvement and active participation build individual ownership of daily safety activities. Consistent application of this model cultivates a comprehensive safety culture within the workforce. Employees make safe, values-based decisions—whether supervised or not—benefiting themselves and their colleagues. Safety thus evolves from a mandatory requirement to an ingrained organizational value.
